How to choose a patio door?
We start from the opening dimensions, your day-to-day needs, PVC or hybrid, budget and options (integrated blinds, grilles, multipoint locks, etc.).
Astral 540: budget option, with fewer options available.
Mars 550 and Decko Classic: mid-range — what suits the vast majority of homes.
iNOVA, Urbania and Loft: high-end, especially for large sizes, lift-and-slide, asymmetrical configurations, etc.
Hybrids (Element, Decko Hybrid, iNOVA hybrid) add aluminum on the outside. Urbania and Loft are all aluminum, inside and out.

Which patio doors are ENERGY STAR®?
Decko Classic, Decko Hybrid, Mars 550 and Element are ENERGY STAR® in 5′ and 6′. In 8′, Mars 550, Element and Decko Classic still qualify; Decko Hybrid is not ENERGY STAR® (not rated) in 8′. We confirm on the quote for the exact model.
PVC or hybrid for a patio door?
PVC (Mars 550, Astral 540, Decko Classic) for most projects. Hybrid (Element, Decko Hybrid, iNOVA hybrid) when you want lasting dark finishes or more rigidity on the outside. Urbania and Loft are all aluminum.
What is a lift-and-slide door?
The sash lifts slightly before sliding: less weight rests on the tracks, so the motion is smoother. Useful when the glass is very large or very heavy — a classic slider would be harder to operate day to day.
