Basement egress window: what should you know?

In Quebec, some rooms (especially bedrooms) must offer a compliant emergency exit. Dimensions and clear opening are regulated — it is not just a “big window.”

What we often propose

An casement with an operable mullion, and egress hinges on some windows to increase the clear opening. We also rely on the ACQ technical sheet.
