Why is my sealed unit fogged?

If fog is trapped between the panes, the sealed-unit seal has failed. Moisture enters the cavity; argon is lost; performance drops.

What to do

We usually replace the sealed unit (or the full window depending on age and frame). Cleaning fog “from inside the unit” is not a real repair — it is a temporary visual fix.
